Fellow Advocates for Answers and Accountability:

Last week it became official! At least ten towns in New Hampshire will have the following question on the ballot at this spring’s town meetings:

Shall New Hampshire’s Congressional Delegation be instructed to pursue a new and independent investigation to address thoroughly all of the evidence and unanswered questions related to the events of September 11, 2001?

Voters in Hanover and Stoddard, which have later deadlines, will file their petitions in the next few weeks to bring the total to 12 towns. Most towns will have their town meetings on March 9, while Hanover, Stoddard and Peterborough will have them on May 11. The dozens of determined individuals in New Hampshire who have worked very hard since early December - from collecting signatures in the bitter cold to holding weekly organizing meetings - deserve a huge round of applause, and it is now up to us give them all the help they need to ensure their campaign is a success.

Vote For Answers New Hampshire already sent ripples across the state of 1.3 million residents when the Keene Sentinel and New Hampshire’s largest and most conservative newspaper, the Union Leader, published articles on the campaign entitled Group Calls For New 9/11 Probe and NH Group Cites Need For New 9/11 Probe, respectively. Both articles provided unbiased, positive coverage similar to the uniformly positive mainstream coverage the NYC CAN initiative received in 2009.

With town meetings about four weeks away, this is only the beginning of what we expect will become a widely watched and eagerly anticipated referendum on the public’s ever-deteriorating faith in the official account of 9/11.

In addition to the bipartisan group of seven local leaders who have endorsed the campaign – their statement can be read at VoteForAnswersNH.com – former Republican New Hampshire Governor Walter Peterson added his voice to the call for a new investigation by signing the petition in Peterborough, one of twelve towns where voters will consider the measure.

The question now becomes: can Vote For Answers win the vote in every single town to send the strongest possible message to New Hampshire’s Congressional Delegates, to the country, and to the world?

In the process of campaigning in towns across the state, tens of thousands of New Hampshire residents will be educated about the inadequacy of the official account of 9/11, and a well-coordinated publicity campaign will ensure that news of Vote For Answers reaches every corner of the state. Once all twelve towns pass the resolution, local leaders who have endorsed Vote For Answers, working together with groups coordinating the campaign, will have a foundation from which to lobby their fellow leaders on the local and state level to pass similar resolutions calling for a new Congressional inquiry.

The momentum generated by this campaign is sure to have a knock-on effect in other cities and states where NYC CAN plans to launch Vote For Answers later this year, as well as in New York City, where NYC CAN continues to work day in and day out toward getting the City to conduct its first ever investigation into aspects of 9/11 that fall under NYC jurisdiction.

So far NYC CAN has raised $1,000 to support Vote For Answers NH, $700 of which will be used to place this two-sided insert in the Keene Sentinel next Tuesday.

The Monadnock 9/11 Truth Alliance also plans to raise $1,500 locally, but here’s the magic number: NYC CAN is committed to raising another $2,500 to meet a total campaign budget of $5,000, all of which will go directly to cover advertising and publicity expenses. Every dollar up to $2,500 NYC CAN is able to raise will be used to make sure every town passes the proposed resolution and that the entire state of New Hampshire is blanketed with real facts about 9/11.

Please Donate Now to make this campaign a success.

On top of that, every dollar raised above $2,500 will go toward NYC CAN’s other activities, including our next major project: a new Zogby poll to gauge New Yorkers’ beliefs about 1) the ongoing relevance of 9/11, 2) whether the 9/11 Commission provided a full and honest account of the attacks, 3) the cause of WTC 7’s destruction, and 4) the cause of the Twin Towers’ destruction. The findings of this poll will be presented in person to every member of the NYC City Council.

Are you willing to chip in $25 to help get the resolution passed in all twelve New Hampshire towns AND to help fund a new Zogby poll? Sounds like a good deal, right? Thanks to our increasing numerical strength, raising the funds to collectively achieve such objectives has never been easier, so please Donate Now

.

What else can I do to help?

Whether or not you have 25 dollars to spare, with only 5 minutes to spare you can make a difference by writing the editors at the Keene Sentinel and the Union Leader to thank them for covering the Vote For Answers campaign and ask that they continue to cover it.

Their email addresses are: news@keenesentinel.com and letters@unionleader.com.

To The Editor of the ___________,

Thank you for covering the Vote For Answers campaign. Your courage and willingness to look at the very real and unanswered questions related to the events of 9/11 should be commended. I hope you will continue to cover the Vote For Answers campaign as it progresses.

Sincerely,

If you are looking for more ways to help or if you have any advice to share, please contact us at info@nyccan.org. Together we will keep on fighting until there is real accountability for the events of September 11th. Please donate generously so that Vote For Answers New Hampshire can emerge victorious in four weeks time.

On a very different note, Janette MacKinlay, a member of our Executive Council and a courageous 9/11 survivor, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. This is understood to be the result of her exposure to dust from the World Trade Center when her apartment windows were blown open from the destruction of the South Tower. From now on Janette plans to devote her time to rallying those with 9/11-related illnesses to become part of the growing demand for truth, and to intensifying the search for World Trade Center dust so that further study can be conducted into the cause of the Twin Towers' destruction.

Janette wishes to share this message with everyone:

"On the eve of my brain surgery on Friday morning, February 12, I am more committed than ever to seeking justice for the crimes of September 11th. Receiving news about Vote For Answers New Hampshire was a high moment for me, and makes me very hopeful. I ask for your financial support to make this happen, and I appreciate your emotional support as I battle for my life."

Janette has been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and warmth from the 9/11 community, and I know hearing from people makes her tremendously happy. If you wish to send her a message she can be contacted at janette@janettemackinlay.com.

Sincerely,
Ted Walter
Executive Director
